The Black Pump

Incredibly versatile and forever trendy, a stylish black pump is a must-have for any girl's closet.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until last week.

I'm not entirely sure how I've managed so far without a pair, but I was getting ready for a night on the town when I realized: my only pair of going-out shoes are purple.

Not to be deterred I borrowed a pair of sleek black leather pumps from a sorority sister. But the whole night I kept thinking, "Why on earth is my only fancy shoe purple?"

So a few days later when I came across Steve Madden's black suede BEASST I went ahead and got them because they are A) timeless, sexy black suede and B) have a lovely thick heel that'll hopefully translate into stability and comfort.

 I was a little nervous about purchasing shoes online -- the last time I tried they fit horribly and I had to return them. However, it's incredibly difficult for little ol' me to physically get to a shoe store (ah, the woes of a college student), so I decided to give the whole cyber-shopping thing another go.

The shoes were $89.95 with free shipping and they are in transit. I'll let you know how they fit!
