Anyways, cutting to the chase, in the Sherlock episode "A Scandal in Bohemia," Sherlock must pit his wits against the seductively beautiful and viciously intelligent Irene Adler.
In BBC's modern rendition of the classic, Irene Adler isn't an American opera singer. Oh, no, ladies and gentlemen. She's a professional dominatrix.
Although in the show, Irene wears gorgeous Christian Louboutins while, ahem, "on the job," I imagine most professional dominatrix can't afford $1,000 shoes. They definitely scream "beg for mercy" don't you think? Although it might be hard to balance on these while wielding a riding crop, I believe Irene would approve.

ReplyDeleteThis version of Irene Adler seems to be quite modern, in tune with the modern sensibility of the series. As an ardent Sherlockian, I have to say she is quite raunchy :)
